School Schedule Changes

As you know the district has lost several days and many hours due to the weather and snow conditions. The state does have a waiver that we could apply for, but we were not approved for it the last time this occurred because we have Fridays that we could use. Thus, we do not believe the state will grant us the waiver. We will still apply though. There are two conditions the district must meet. One is concerning days in school and the other is actual hours in school. We have spent quite a bit of time analyzing what we can do in order to meet the minimum requirements. We have come up with a 2-fold plan.

1) We will be having school this coming Friday, March 8th from 8:00 to 3:40pm.

2) Starting next Monday, March 11th we will be going to another time schedule. School will be Monday through Friday until the end of the year. However, it will be a 40 minute shorter day. We will start school at the normal time of 8:00 am, but school will be let out at 3:00 pm.

Exceptions to the new schedule are as follows:

There will be conferences on March 28 and March 29 so school will release at 12:30pm.

We will have not have school April 1-5. We will observe Spring Break.

There will be no school on Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day.

The last day of school will still be Thursday, June 6th.

Please keep in mind that if we lose more hours due to the weather/snow, we will need to make adjustments to this "new schedule."

Thank you for your support. We appreciate it as we navigate this Winter Wonderland!!
