About Bickleton School District

Our History

The Bickleton School District wasn't originally just one school for many pupils from a vast area. It wasn't until 1880 that it finally became one home to many students. A myriad of students came from their homes on horseback, while others walked from just down the street. Those who rode their horses from home to school left them in a barn located down the road just west of the new school in a barn that has been gone for many years.

Roughly, 700 seniors have graduated from Bickleton School since 1915. The largest class had 15 graduates, and the smallest class had one.

In the 1980's, computer technology was introduced into the district. Computers have helped our students learn keyboarding, access the vast expanse of information on the web, and create, and publish, yearbooks and videos to name just a few advantages technology has brought to BSD.
